Independence Day and FAO Friends

Yesterday was the 4th of July. We spent the day mostly at home. We did take a trip to IKEA to get a shelf for the bathroom, but otherwise had a low key day. After Jake's nap, we went to the Embassy for dinner and played at the park.

Jake started the day by playing in a dry tub while lining up his ducks. He always makes sure they are in a straight line and all facing the same direction.

Then he asked Daddy to help county his piggies. Jake loves to count and he's pretty good at 1-8, but his favorite number is eleven-teen. And once he gets to eleven-teen, he repeats it over and over.

Then he took a nap. I went in to check on him and found him like this, holding a giant roll of paper and foot propped on the wall.

Then we went to the Embassy and enjoyed some burgers with fries.

And today our big outing was going to Cosmo, the grocery store, to get some groceries. We had friends over for dinner tonight. Reid, Julie, Mitchell and Hank Farmer came over to do some laundry after their travels in Jordan this past week. And Dan, Kaylan, and Leila Pesature came over too. They are all headed to Israel this coming week and we will miss them all. The Farmers will return to Kuwait from Israel, so we won't get to see them again for a while. It was a good night and I'm glad we all got to get together before they left. Jake even had toys to share, now that we have our household goods. Safe travels friends!

  1. What a great group of friends. Will the Pesatures be returning back to your area? That Leila is a cutie and all those boys too. Goodness! You know how I love to squeeze those boys!
